World Environment Day-2020 Celebration
Every year the Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June throughout the world . The World Environment Day-2020 theme is “Biodiversity”. This year the ENVIS Hub Haryana is celebrating World Environment day on 5th June, 2020. It has been decided by ENVIS to celebrate WED 2020 online keeping in view COVID-19 Pandemic, to sensitize masses on what can be their contribution to save the environment. World Environment Day is a powerful platform to accelerate, amplify and engage people, communities and organizations to take action on critical environmental challenges facing the planet. Since the awareness among the students plays a vital role in the preserving the Environment and Biodiversity.
The ENVIS Hub Haryana has celebrated World Environment day on 5th June, 2020 by organizing an online poster making Competition (Topic-Social distancing) during 26.05.2020 to 02.06.2020 for the students of class 6th to 10th of Haryana State in addition to other activities sponsored by Environment & Climate Change Department, Haryana. In view of this the ENVIS Hub has received very good response from the students of Haryana state. Approximately 3000+ students have participated in this online postermaking competition from all the districts of Haryana.
