Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE) and Youth Parliament Debate under Mission LiFE

Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) is an initiative launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi at the 2021 UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP26), to bring individual behaviours at the forefront of the global climate action narrative and with the aim of promoting sustainable living and protecting the environment. The mission focuses on various aspects of sustainable living, including conservation of water resources, reduction of plastic waste, promotion of clean energy, and protection of biodiversity.

The EIACP Hub Haryana will conduct the “Stage I – Virtual debate competition/ Group Discussions” at University Level in Haryana State by receiving their entries through Google Form. The topic for this virtual debate competition/ Group Discussions will be on “Issues related to the field of Environment”. Then EIACP Haryana will shortlist 10 candidates as required for “Stage II – Mock Parliamentary Debate” in Delhi organized by IIFM EIACP Centre. Stage I will be conducted within last week of May, 2023. 5 students will be selected after Stage II and will be given the ‘Youth Icon Award’ on 5th June, 2023 on World Environment Day by MoEF&CC, New Delhi.
